Log Notes
Hi, Team. Would it be possible to add a feature to clients where we could record information like “invoice submitted to insurer” or “need more information for invoicing purposes” etc? Just like a running post-it notes section in the client file but not for clinical note purposes. Thank you for considering.

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for suggesting this, it’s a really useful idea.
There are two places in Rehab Guru today that can cover some of this.
Client alerts: open the client and select Details from the left-hand menu.
Scroll down to Alerts and click + Add alert. You can add as many short notes as you need (up to 500 characters each), pick a colour for each one, and edit or delete them once they’ve been dealt with. There’s more on this in our Adding Client Details help article: https://support.rehabguru.com/en/articles/9921622-adding-client-details
Alerts are designed to be seen, so they also show as a flag next to the client in your Clients list and on their appointments in the diary. Choosing a different colour for admin notes helps them stand apart from anything clinical.
Extra information: on the same Details page, the Extra information box is a free-text field that sits outside your treatment notes, so it can work as a simple running notes area. Just click Save details after updating it.
What we don’t have yet is a dedicated admin log, where each note is dated and kept separate from the clinical record. We’ve logged this as a feature request for the team to consider.
To help shape it, how would you picture it working? Would you want each note dated with who added it, and should the notes be visible to your whole team or only to admin and billing staff?
